Do you have neighbours with ugly builds? Want to have some more privacy on your land? Want to create a scenic atmosphere with forests surrounding your land? Place one or more of these panels at the border of your land and you will feel surrounded by a beautiful forest... (tip: add some bird sounds!)

Visit my in-world shop to see it.

To avoid misunderstanding: these are flat, 2-D "photo's" of a forest, not real 3-D trees!

You can chose between one-sided and two-sided versions. The one-sided ones are fully transparant on one side, the two-sided ones show the forest on both sides. Also included are a set of "end-pieces". They can be used to end the scenery in a natural way, instead of having the scenery end abruptly. The end pieces only fit with the 10x10 and 20x10 versions (not the 50x25).

All panels are Phantom (you can walk through), but you can change this.

Tip: if you rez a 1-sided panel and you don't see anything happen, maybe you are facing the transparant (invisible) side. Walk to the other side and check if it's there.

You have copy permission, so you can rez as many panels as you want. Texture files are included, so you can even make your own screens. For instance, you could make 20x20 meter panels. You also have modify right on the panels, so you can experiment with texture settings, such as Repeats Per Face and Offset.

Contents

The following panels are included:

1-sided:

- forest-screen-1M autumn (20x10) - 20x10 meter main screen, can seamlessly be repeated
- forest-screen-1M autumn (50x25) - 50x25 meter main screen, huge version
- forest-screen-1L autumn (10x10) - 10 meter end-piece, left
- forest-screen-1R autumn (10x10) - 10 meter end-piece, right
- forest-screen-1ML autumn (10x10) - 10x10 meter left part of the main screen (if you don't want to use 20x10 m MegaPrims)
- forest-screen-1MR autumn (10x10) - 10x10 meter right part of the main screen

2-sided:

- same set as above, but with name "forest-screen-2..." instead of "forest-screen-1..."

Limitations

I did my best to avoid any visible "border line" at the top of the panels. However, under certain angles you can still see some vague border line, I'm not aware of any ways to avoid this. For the end-pieces: make sure you use a horizontal repeat factor of 0.499 instead of 0.500, this reduces the visible border lines somewhat.

The textures are semi-transparant. There is a well-known problem with the Second Life viewer that sometimes causes semi-transparant textures to be displayed wrongly. Objects that are supposed to be *behind* the semi-transparant object are shown in *front* of it. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done against this right now
(this is a limitation of current video cards). If this happens, just experiment and see if you can minimize this problem. Personally I get the impression that the bigger the prim is, the more problems it gives. Try the smaller 10x10 screens if the bigger ones give problems.

Aligning the panels to each other is a precision job that requires some attention. Take some time for it and look at the seams from different angles to check the result.

Permissions:

- Copy: Yes, so rez as many as you want
- Modify: Yes, so you can modify height, width etc.
- Transfer: No, so you cannot give these to a friend as a present or resell them.

Because of the copy & no transfer permissions, I can't do refunds.
