This is a horizontal flag style windsock that rotates to point downwind. Yes, SL has wind and it is done using a cool, interesting, complex, fluid dynamics simulation. This causes the wind to swirl around in ways that are impossible for us mere mortals to predict. But now with a Wind Tracker you can see the wind direction at a glance, get the wind speed (to the nearest meter/second) and direction (to the nearest 1º) by looking closer. The windsock has permission COPY so for one price you can set up as many of them as you want. You will discover that the wind swirls around and points in different directions in different places!

The inventors of the RL Wind Tracker* claim that this style of windsock is better than the traditional tube. I think it makes a festive banner so I added color changing and optional digital wind display. As a banner this flag has four seasonal color animations. It will randomly cycle through a fall color scheme, spring color scheme, summer or winter. It also will change to to a fixed color: one of 10 named colors or 17 million colors using the hex "WEB" color designation.
