Most builders will tell you you can't link sculpts and mesh. And they do have a point, you really shouldn't unless you know how to do it right.
OPQ builder Chin Rey knows how of course, we wouldn't have called her a Master Builder if she didn't, and the result is rather amazing: a group of four oaks with:
* a land impact (prim count) of only 5
* excellent LOD
* basic physics (you can walk among the tree trunks but not through them
* texture changer through 14(!) seasons
Oh and you can even sit on one of the branches if you like - not many SL trees will let you do that.
