In 1740, Philip LeMarchand created a series of musical puzzle boxes which have over the entries collected a dark reputation to themselves. These 'Lament Configurations' are said to unlock pathways to untold pleasures and pain to any who can solve their mysteries.

Here, framed in polished wood and adorned with a bastard's gold inlay, you will find one of LeMarchand's original sketches of the Priapus Intaglio face of the infamous Lament Configuration.
