** Version 1.2b -- fixes an issue with retrieval of profile pic **
This is a one-prim display board that you can put in your home, place of business, or anywhere that you want to be able to notify others of your online status, or of the online status of anyone else (possibly a friend, business partner or employee).
By default, the indicator will show the owner's profile picture and status. To have it monitor someone else, place the person's name in the "agent" notecard found in the object contents, and then save the notecard. Only one name will be accepted; any additional notecard lines will be ignored. If the name entered in the notecard is not a valid avatar name (or in some cases, if the avatar is too new), then it will default back to the owner.
It will show the profile picture of the owner or the selected avatar on the the front, along with the words ONLINE or OFFLINE along the top. You can also have it display the name and online status in hover text above the indicator board.
The indicator has an instant message feature that allows anyone to leave you or the selected avatar a message simply by clicking on the board, and then typing a one-line message in chat. This feature is enabled by default, but can be disabled by the owner or by the selected avatar if not needed.
When touched by the owner or by the selected avatar, a menu will appear with the following options:
* IMs OFF -- disable the instant message feature
* IMs ON -- enable the instant message feature
* Msg Test -- allow the owner or selected avatar to send him/herself a test message
* Chg Font -- switch online-offline display between a "neon" font and
a more stylish scripted font
* Text OFF -- switch hover text off
* Text ON -- switch hover text on
* Reset -- reset the script
* Channel -> -- change the communication channel used by this indicator
The display is modifiable, so it can be stretched or shrunk as needed. Since it is copiable, you can place more than one of them at various locations as needed, and change the notecards so that each indicator will monitor the online status of a different avatar.
Changed in version 1.2a:
* defaults to hover text being turned off...use Text On command to enable
* uses a random communication channel, so that menu commands will only affect this unit (useful if many online indicators are placed close together)

Ver el artículo en Second Lifenot what I expected, was looking for one I can set for other group members to set their online status as we are a "help others" group. if you want just for yourself, it'll work fine, but not if you need to set for other avatars in your group or organization.
