Use this 8-digit display for pricing of products, charity and fund-raising events, or decoration.

The number can be set by saying or shouting a number on a customizable channel in Local Chat.

The 'L$' part can be detached. The amount of digits on the display can be reduced by 'Select Texture' and setting the redundant digits to 100% transparency and 0% glow.

It's full perm, so the script can be modified, and the display can be scaled and tinted. Each digit can be tinted individually. The default size is a few meters wide and accounts for a Land Impact (LI) of 32 to guarantee high-visibility at larger distances. Scaling it will reduce or increase LI.

not easy to read

Unfortunately, the inactive segments of the digits remain visible, making the display hard to read.

The script needs better formatting and is way too slow. llOffsetTexture() alone has a 0.2s delay, so using it like three times for each digit makes 0.6 seconds for each digit. Use https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlSetPrimitiveParams#llSetLinkPrimitiveParamsFast instead and build a whole list of parameters that is being applied once each time the number changes.

Scaled to as small as it will go, the digits and the L$ sign crumple too soon from a distance. OTOH, it has only 1li then. For making a small display, that's still too large --- but it's probably not supposed to be used for a small display but for a large sign.

If it could be made so that each segment is a surface or a prim without having too much land impact, it would be much easier to use, and inactive segments could be invisible. That would be awesome.

As mentioned by the first reviewer, the LI went to 1 LI after resizing it to 1m long.
In fact, even at 2m long and including the script, it was still 1 LI.
I also delinked the L$ and removed it, as it was not required for my purpose.

When scaled down to a decent size (still like a meter long and very visible) it's 1LI
