Update 07-Nov-2024 to v1.5. Changed the daylight detection again due to more recent changes in SL. v1.5 should now work again (change from crows to bats) in customized EEP settings and environments at parcel and region level. If it doesn't, try the previous two (although so far it works everywhere).
v1.4 and onwards also stops the crows roaming if no-one is in the parcel to see them, to save a bit of server load. They'll start roaming again soon after someone arrives.

Crows don't fly at night, and bats don't fly in the daytime, so this free-roaming murder of crows changes into a colony of bats at night, and back to crows in the daytime.
You can turn off the changeover and just set it to stay on crows or bats if you prefer.
There are four different types of bats in the colony and two different crows in the murder, with detailed textures that look good up close as well as at a distance.
The set can be made static and just circle where you place them, but is really intended to roam freely about your parcel within your defined limits. Both roaming direction and speed is random and limits can be set in three dimensions.
When static, the set makes a great decoration for venues, themed parties, circling around your tower or graveyard, inside your bat cave, anything you can think of.
If you enjoy nature and landscaping, watching the crows moving about your land is as close as it gets to the real thing. You never know when they are going to fly overhead as you lie looking up at the sky.
Configuration is done simply by editing the description field - no notecards to mess with and no needless menus to bloat the code.
The set is copy/mod, so you can adjust the flock if you wish. If you want to make multiple copies on your land, please rez them from inventory, don't use the shift-click-drag method to make a copy because it will mess up the animations. It's a known SL glitch.

This product may have been made for nature on any sim. I was looking for a product to add to our clubs Halloween theme. These are perfect for flying above the dance floor! The creator replied to my IM and helped me do what i was wanting and he was real pleasant and did not talk down to me.
