Rezz the child on the ground (non mesh area). Drag the attable item to the floor next to the child. Click on the item. A pop up will appear that will ask if you want to link, say yes. The item will go directly on the baby. This item WILL NOT GO INTO THE CLOSET.
To remove, click on the item and go to setup in the menu. Click on the item and unlink. Remember where you originally rezzed the item as it will go back there.
