NEW VERSION (June 2012): Now fully compatible with new 'Resident' usernames, also some minor bugs have been fixed that caused the HUD to fail retrieving keys occasionaly. This version now works very reliable.
● Retrieves any avatar's key (UUID) reliably from anywhere inworld!
● Shows the online status and UUID of any avatar!
● Name to Key
● Key to Name
● Area Scanner: lists the keys of all avatars near you
● Shows the current online status of the avatar you looked up
● Stealth usage: no one will notice you are retrieving their UUIDs
● Avatars dont have do be online in order to make the functions work
● Easy to use - simply wear and touch
This HUD can retrieve an avatar's key from it's name, and the other way around. Also it will show the current online status of any avatar. These functions work globally on the Second Life® grid, so there is no need for the avatar to be in range of the HUD, nor within the same simulator.
To start, simply wear the HUD. It will be attached to the center attachment point of your screen by default, but you can change it's position as desired.
Touch the corresponding buttons on the HUD to use the functions.

Just what I was looking for!
Works.
Impressed
It does exactly what it says it will do and is pretty much plug-and-play. The only other thing you may need is this - secondlife:///app/agent/ENTER UUID HERE/about to get clickable links in your local chat.
This is a must-have for business and sim owners, and at the price, it is a steal.
Works great
such a simple need and so few apps that actually just work. This one does exactly like it promised and so far the only one that does what is promised!
This item is supposedly Mod - it isn't. This was an issue in the past and there was a discussion on it - the creator said he fixed that. As of today, it still isn't Mod.
The real issue though is that it simply doesn't work. Well, it halfway works. Name to key seems to work, but Key to Name simply returns a failure message instantly.
Save your money - This is junk.
