GIANTS CAUSEWAY FOR YOUR BEACH - LOW PRIM
In ancient times, legend has it that the Irish giant Fionn mac Cumhaill (Finn McCool) built the causeway to walk to Scotland to fight his rival, Scottish giant Benandonner. Fionn fell asleep before he got to Scotland and when he didn’t arrive, the much larger Benandonner crossed the bridge looking for him. To protect Fionn, his clever wife Oonagh laid a blanket over him so he could pretend that he was actually their baby son. When Benandonner saw the size of the 'baby', he was terrified at the thought of how huge Fionn would be, so Benandonner fled home in terror, ripping up the Causeway in case he was followed by Fionn.
I think that's MUCH more plausible an explanation than the theory that it was caused by an ancient volcanic erruption, but hey - I'll let you make your OWN mind up :)
Anyway, it's something that'll give your land that little touch of originality and escape from normal. I've included a RL pic of the causeway to show you what it looks like if you're not familiar with it. Mine comes as a simple module that's made up of 12 randomly-placed stone columns that you can join together (rotate them, move them, join them however you like ~ it doesn't need to be perfect for you to create the desired effect!). I've incuded the example shown in the main pic, which is only 7 prims total, to give you an idea of what can be achieved.
The texture used is pretty close to the wet, volcanic rock of the original, and looks pretty cool on my beach. I also included a copyable water swirl (the script inside is no mod, btw) so you can use as many as you want around the edges to make it look realistic. I also threw in a water splash/fogger so you can play with it and create even MORE effects!
Ok ~ did I mention it's COPY/MOD? Well it is, and it's also set to phantom to avoid any nasty incidents with passing boats.
Thanks for looking ~ please click on the blue "visit the store" link on the right to go see the rest of my bits n bobs.
Very nice!
they are copy mod, added some modern day materials texturing to it, they really do the trick, it looks cool! don't use a ton of them, on large area's you need a lot and you will end up with a higher li then you bargained for, its not mesh that goes down in LI when linked... but Very good price and copy mod, thank you! nice!
Beautiful but not walkable.
I have purchased many of this creators objects and have been very happy with them. I have several of the piers and docks in use. Unfortunately the Causeway blocks look great, but can't be walked on. Since the price is great I am giving it four stars but I do wish I had known it was only to be seen but not touched before buying it. I hope the seller adds a note for future customers. I hope someday to find a version that can be played on as well as viewed.
