It's finally happened, GT has created a brand new retail product!
Based off the same technology as the widely successful HumanTarget, the GT Decal Development Kit is a generic tool that allows creation of "bullethole" style decals on any surface.
This lets you create your own games, targets, or props that have the same sort of collision tracking textures that the HumanTarget has.
You can use this system to put a decal anywhere there is a collision with the object it is linked to.
You can even create curved collision surfaces or link multiple independent targets in a single link set.

1.1 Update: Change collision behavior to register footprints better, without affecting other uses.
Very simple to use and requires no programming experience whatsoever. I used it to quickly make a small floor which will generate pink kitten paw prints when someone walks on the floor! The manual explains how it all works- only took about 20 minutes to get my kitty prints working! (Most of that time was in making the paw print texture).
