Created entirely from scratch this electric typewriter was made with detail and low recourse usage in mind, as I try to do with most all of my products. It comes in at 0.5 prim EQ with five different colour (Classic Tan, Red, Blue, Black, and White) all coming with two seperate versions, one with paper and one without. Along with the typewriter itself the pack includes the official GTMDtec CELTIC Electric Typewriter Ribbon Cartridge that contains both red and black ink! This is a static decor object that accompanys the electric typewriter.

A worthy homage to one of the most famous electric typewriters, which is still relevant, if somewhat pricey
Decently-designed office equipment is rare in SL. As for typewriters, good luck finding one that is *not* yet another import of the same pre-war typewriter model everyone buys from 3rd-party sources and imports. And if you're looking to make an office environment inspired from the 1960s or 1970s, you practically have nothing to choose from.
Adel Button very wisely chose to make a model of one of the most legendary electric typewriters of all time, and it's quite good indeed: its poly count won't tax even the most pathetic GPU, the shape follows the lines of the original faithfully, and the colour choices are quite similar to the real thing's.
Typically for an SL item, it's appallingly oversized. Thankfully, now it's (finally) modifiable and, if you know the RL original's dimensions, getting there is easy - provided you have some basic editing skills. So, as it is, it's a very worthy prop for your '70s office.
But there's still room for improvement and updates: we have more powerful machines now and can get away with a somewhat higher poly count. I also believe it would benefit from normal and specular maps. At this price point, I'd like it to be scripted with colour change for the body and keys, an option to add my own paper texture, and an option to show or hide it. For these omissions, and its noticeable price, it loses one star. It's still recommended, but it could have been even better.
TOO BIG
I was very excited about this product as it looked to be perfect for a scene I was creating. The quality of the mesh is very nice, it looks great.
HOWEVER, the lack of modify permissions combined with the fact that the item is not even a shade of believable scale means that it was a waste of linden and a true disappointment. If I'd just been able to resize, this would have been a glowing review.
