Gala Carriage
A luxury berlin carriage, crafted from finely carved and gilded wood, iron, and various upholstery materials. The body, in a neoclassical style, is adorned with garlands of carved and gilded wood, volutes at the corners, and a pierced band beneath the windows. The decoration of the panels reflects a taste for Greco-Roman antiquity, with fine gold arabesques, candelieri flanking the corners, and polychrome cameos embellishing the apron— The interior is upholstered in silk velvet, with volutes and other decorative motifs. It includes a seat for three people inside.
The carriage has been designed with maximum attention to detail—from its proportions to the characteristic elements of luxury coachbuilding in the second half of the 18th century, when “Paris-made” coaches were the most prized in Europe for their elegance and refinement. It features leaf springs with thick leather belts that suspend the passenger cabin, rear volutes for footmen, as well as a coachman’s canopy and splash board at the front.
The vehicle, aside from being ornamental, is fully driveable, including a pair of animated horses with harnesses that pull the coach when driven, reproducing wheel sounds and motion.
Excellent LOD at over 35 meters, allowing you to travel without appearing to float from a distance. Only 24 Land Impact. Total seating for 5: 3 passengers + 2 footmen and coachman. PBR (Physically Based Rendering). Texture optimization.

By mid-century, a new type of carriage emerged, replacing the old, heavy, and even dangerous coaches. The Berline was a much lighter and safer carriage invented in Berlin. built was built on a curved chassis with space for the front wheels (“the swan neck") that allowed for a greater turning radius, along with a suspension system that made travel far more comfortable. The fully enclosed cabin with glass windows protected passengers from the elements, and the cabin being suspended by leather straps, there was no danger of overturning in curves. These engineering marvels were also more elegant and aligned with the straight lines of the new Neoclassicism. Berlins were quickly adopted by the upper classes in Paris, where a wealthy family’s fleet could include over five carriages: a sumptuous berline de gale, city coupés, travel coaches, in addition to luxurious landaus and lightweight phaetons for leisure rides.
