Here is an inexpensive solution to to your cosmological decorating issues.
These are marvelous textures for your space related sims and sky boxes. These were created using open source images from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the European Space Agency. It took some serious finagling to get them into a format that would work in Second Life.
