Gesture Overrider

Tired of buying animations that you can't assign to gestures? Well, get this Gesture Overrider and you'll be able to use all of your animations!

Unfortunately, lots of wonderful animations in-world have been set up with the incorrect permissions. This means that you can buy them, but not use them in Gestures — only inside other objects. They're usually a waste of your precious money, unless you're able to persuade the creator to sell you a modified version of the animation which can be used inside Gestures. Most animators can't be bothered to do that for you.

You just drop the animations you've got into this simple device, and afterwards you'll be able to call them with a simple command, like "/69 bow" to get a nice Japanese bow (you can also stop looped animations, with something like "/69 animation stop"). Configuration is done on a notecard, where you can list your commands and assign them to animation names, as well as having your avatar say something.

If you need the full power of the Gestures dialog box, it's also easy. Instead of calling the animation directly (which you won't be able to...), you can use the "Say" command in Gestures to call the animation from the Gesture Overrider! That way, you can develop all the complexity of "chained" animations (with sounds and timings) if you wish.

This device can also be used as a simple, manual dance bracelet — you just load it with the dance animations you wish, and start and stop them with commands. It works! Even better: you can have several animations played at the same time, if you have managed to buy them with the proper priorities. The possibilities are endless!

Enjoy yourself with this device which is still on beta development. Suggestions are welcome (but if you need a full-blown dance animation script, buy the Yet Another Dance Bracelet device which is also sold through this site). If you're really disappointed with your device, just return it to me for a full refund.
