About Our Easter eggs
Ornately decorated Easter eggs — whether using real eggs, stone, or porcelain — are a traditional art form, especially in Russia and Eastern Europe. Some bear religious icons, others jewels, filagree, or folk art patterns. Our eggs attempt to reproduce several of these styles.
These items are 2-prim sculpts. All contain Modify permissions. Most are Copy, though some of the multi-item sets are no-Copy but yes-Transfer so that items can be given as gifts. MAKE SURE YOU VERIFY THE CORRECT PERMISSIONS BEFORE BUYING!
Some of our eggs are sold individually, others are sold in sets with a similar design but a variety of colors. The total number of variations quickly got quite large, and we thought it better to make sets and megapacks available at a discount than to offer hundreds of individual eggs separately. Sets and megapacks with Transfer permissions will be marked “GIFT PACK”, and the items in these are no-Copy. (We love our Icon Eggs, but even we would rather give some away than have 27 eggs sitting around with the same icon but different colors and styles!)
MODIFYING YOUR EGGS
Our eggs come “out of the carton” much larger than real eggs so that you can fully appreciate their textures. In their original sizes, they can be used like sculptures in a room. You can easily resize the eggs so that they look egg-sized and they can be moved and rotated into an arrangement (say, in a basket).
With many of our eggs, we have used “seamless” repeating textures. Some of these look good at many different settings for frequency of repeat. If you know how to adjust this, you can experiment with copies of your eggs to get different looks — say, larger or smaller jewels or filagree patterns. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND DOING THIS WITH A COPY, as sometimes it is difficult to find the original settings, and NOT ALL settings look good.
ABOUT US
Windows Into Heaven produces icons for use in Second Life: both “talking” icons and basic or “mute” icons which are simple prim images. We use only images that are in public domain. Our icons are sold at nominal cost, so that they may be widely used. All icons can be edited by the buyer with respect to size and orientation, but the image (and in the case of “talking” icons, the text and script) cannot be edited. Please note the copy/transfer permissions for the particular icon or other item.
Our icons should not be resold in either their original or modified form, though Transfer-enabled icons may be passed along to another user.
