A rare Golpayegan Persian rug. Sourced from my comprehensive catalogues of current and past auction items.

Description of Golpayegan Style:

Golpayegan Persian rugs are hand-woven in the small town of Golpayegan. Situated between Teheran and Hamadan, the town`s name means fortress of flowers. Golpayegan rug patterns are curvilinear and have large floral and garden details. Their colour schemes include tones of red, blue, olive and beige.

Golpayegan 2 looks very similar to 1 and therefore you may wish to purchase as a pair. As an example one for each side of a bed or both together under a table in front of a fire.

Please note the original dimensions of this rug. Although supplied as modifiable, over stretching may distort the pattern. Also note that as a representation of a handmade product it may have less than perfect linage. This part of the beauty of such a rug.

I hope you enjoy this rug as much as enjoyed finding it. Should you have any questions please IM me inworld.
