Grande Salle a Manger - Fireplace (Carrara marble)

This sumptuous fireplace in Carrara marble is made by Jacques-Francois Dropsy. As is was intended for dining room, it's decoration consists of flowers and fruits carved into marble. These decorations reflects Louis XV's fondness of nature and his desire to bring the lovely gardens into the house as well.
