Introducing the new speed boat from Holiday's Modern Yachts.

One of the sleekest hulls in all of second life. This
is the cutting edge of virtual small boat design.

Fully customizable hull colors.

The Tuxedo is fully compatible with HMY water toys.
These are not simply prims statically attached to the
boat, these are fully independent vehicles which
accurately simulate the physics of a towed water craft.
Wakeboard sold separately.

Quick Start:

To drive the boat, simply drag it from your inventory onto the water.

Right click the boat and select “ride” from the pie menu.

Use the normal keyboard movement controls to steer the boat. Holding the shift key while turning will cause the boat to turn more quickly, this is good for navigating tight spots. Pressing page down or the c key while driving will set your throttle to zero.

CUSTOMIZING YOUR BOAT: be careful not to mute your own boat!!!

Left clicking the boat will bring up a dialog menu which will allow you to customize your settings.

OPTIONS: The first button, options, allows you to change the speedometer text settings, set the volume of the sound effects, and change the top speed that the throttle is limited to while driving.

COLORS: Clicking the colors button will give you the tuxedo customization HUD. Find "HMY Tuxedo HUD" in your inventory, right click it, and select "wear" from the list. You should see a display pop up on your upper left. You may have to edit its position slightly depending on your monitor.

Use the HUD as you would the color selector in second life. Select the color you want, and the tint, and then click the part of the boat you would like to apply the new color to. Make sure you are standing within a few meters of your boat or it will not be able to communicate with the HUD.

UPDATE: Clicking the Update button will check the HMY servers to see if you have the latest version of the boat. If your boat is out of date you will be given a new copy.

DRIVERS: Clicking the Drivers button allows you to allow other avatars to drive your boat. When clicking the drivers button, follow the on screen instructions to add your friends to the list of allowed avatars. You can add up to 3 additional avatars to each rezzed copy of your boat. Taking the boat into your inventory does not erase the list of allowed avatars.

Keep in mind that anyone you allow to drive your boat can also be given a copy of the customization HUD and adjust all the settings of the boat as well.

TOWING: Clicking the towing button turns on and off the towing system which allows you to tow tubes and wakeboards behind your boat. It will also raise and lower the tow bar behind the passenger seats. The tow system can also be turned on and off by clicking the towbar on the back of the boat.

TOWING TOYS

In order to tow your friends around the water on toys, rez a copy of the tube or wakeboard you wish to tow. Left click the toy and then answer the dialog menu that pops up, allowing the toy to attach itself to the towbar of your boat. If no dialog menu appears, try moving the toy closer to your boat.

You can tow as many tubes or wakeboards as the sim you are in will support. Experiment with different top speeds; if you drive too fast, your friends may become dislodged the boat, or worse. A top speed of around 30 or 40 while towing is recommended for beginners.
