I have a hobby of futzing small scripts together from time to time for my own purposes. I've always wanted to release these, but can't find the time/money/will to start a website around it, so I'm listing them here.
_____

Just like my Temporary Hovertext script, this set of scripts will be useful for Storytellers in Roleplay Sims who'd like more interaction in the environment they've built, but dislike having to emote themselves for every small thing, or have the object speak/spam in Local Chat.

The idea is to have clickable objects in a roleplay scene that, when clicked or 'investigated', will have their information shown on the accompanying light-weight HUD through hovertext. This could be a scene-relevant item, or an NPC who has something singular to say.

As an optional bonus, this info can then be stored in a multitude of save buttons, which can then be loaded back onto the HUD for future reference.

The entire interaction is silent and does not disrupt local chat. Ideal for a dedicated roleplay mission.

Not only that, but this entire system was written out to be as simple as possible. While I could have figured out a way to make this actual function through menus, that would have added far too much complexity. The point behind these open-source scripts is to make them easy to read for even the noobiest of Storytellers.

That's right, I said open-source. And free! If you click the demo button, you can get your hands on these four scripts for nothing! Nada! No licensing requirement, nothing of the sort. It's yours to do with as you please.

However, if you purchase this paid listing instead, you'll be handed a version that has a myriad of //comments included that explain pretty much every part of the scripts' process. Not only that, but an example object and HUD are included too, to help contextualize the entire interaction.
Just rez the object somewhere, wear the HUD, click the object, and presto! The information it held is now on your HUD! Press one of the numbered red buttons to save it for later reference, and its equivalent green one to load it!

If you do end up buying this, I will consider it as a way of saying 'thank you', or a donation. Either way, I'm happy with your patronage.

Be well.
