I was inspired by the original TP Hammer to make a more interactive version that remained as streamlined as possible, and the Arrow is what I came up with.
• Can use landmarks, SLurls, or just the region's name in plain text.
• Can store as many landmarks as you need, which you can then select through a favorites menu (for repeat events)
• Checks the region's status for you (has it crashed?)
• Checks your SLurls/text inputs for typos or malformed urls
The HUD also comes with a couple of neat additions that don't come in the way of its primary purpose: to chain TP.
• Pause button (toggleable)
• Timer speed: Since SL throttles teleport attempts that happen too close together, I have included a timer option that lets you fine-tune how close to the limit you want to take things, but remember: a full sim is often a very laggy one, and the default (6 seconds), despite being a conservative estimate, can still be too fast, more on that in the section below.
• Sound alert on successful TP - can be toggled on/off
• Map: This is just a quality of life feature that lets you double-check where your landmark/SLurl is actually taking you
• Random TP: This is just a small gimmick that picks a sim at random out of all the currently available ones, and lets you TP there. Can be fun to play with when you're bored, but beware: this randomizes ALL regions, including the adult ones.
What if things don't go so smoothly?
• If the region has crashed, the play button will turn into a red refresh sign that you can press to re-evaluate the state of the sim.
Once it comes back up, it will turn into a green play sign, that you can press to start chain-TPing as quickly as possible.
• If the region doesn't exist (as can be the case with old landmarks for sims that no longer exist), the button will turn into a red stop sign. Can't go there!
• If you see a lot of throttle teleport errors in red, especially with a good timer setting (5-6seconds), it means that the teleport requests are arriving in bursts, likely due to the lag on the destination sim.
The best thing you can do is increase the timer, though there's a fine balance between increasing it so much that you effectively stagger yourself, and sending requests so fast that SL gimps your teleport attempts. When in doubt, you can leave it at 6 or 7.
• No matter what, I can't prevent the Viewer from sending out those pesky teleport alert messages in the middle of your screen, but you don't have to keep clicking on them for the HUD to keep TPing you. If you'd like to temporarily work on something however, you can press the pause button.
• Have you found a bug I didn't catch? Please, do send me a notecard and I'll reimburse you of your purchase once I can confirm it!
- TP Hammer inspired auto teleporter
- Modifiable timer
- Region status check
- Pause/resume
- Alert on successful TP
best ))
i have buy all TP Hammer on the MP and this is the best you can buy )) but I have a question, is it possible to save the loop time that i set ? so I have to set the 4 seconds again and again when i add the hud. but realy good work)) LG caitlin
Awesome little gadget.
Bought this as an update to the original TP Hammer, and got to say I prefer this. Nothing is going to work as well as being a premium member when trying to enter a crowded sim, but that doesn't negate how useful I find this tool. It's super easy to use and customize with your favorite LMs or popping in a SLurl. I also get a lot less red TP errors with Arrow. I bought a few as gifts for my friends, and feel as though $25L is a steal.
