Hearts & Spades (3D Tic-Tac-Toe)

Hearts & Spades is a 3D version of Noughts & Crosses, or Tic-Tac-Toe. The aim of each player is to make a line of 3 identical symbols. Lines can be in the form of rows, files, columns or diagonals. There are 49 ways to make a line.

If free play is allowed, the first player can always easily win by selecting the centre square on the middle level, so to make the game interesting, a square can only be selected if the one immediately below has already been selected.

To play the game, each player clicks the base to register. The first will play hearts and the second spades, but the first player to select a square is chosen at random and announced in chat. Thereafter, the players take it in turns to select a square. It is possible for one person to act as both players.

Once moves have extended to the second level, you will need to pan around to make sure you see all the possibilities. When a line is successfully completed, it is announced. The game has a no-move time-out of 2 minutes, after which it will reset.

Hearts & Spades is suitable for both indoor & outdoor use, standing on a base 1.75m x 1.75m with height of 1.6m.
