Overview

This prim radio allows you to select and play various streaming radio stations directly on your object in Second Life. You can manage the list of stations through a notecard, making it easy to add or remove your favorite streams.

Basic Operation

1. Accessing the Radio Menu

-To access the radio menu, simply touch (click) the radio on the left or right screen. The center screen is reserved for a web viewer of https://www.windy.com.
-A menu will pop up displaying the available radio stations and a Stop button.
-The menu may also remind you that you can update the list of stations by editing the notecard.

2. Selecting a Station

-Choose a station from the menu by clicking its name.
-The radio will display the station name and the URL in local chat and start streaming the audio.

3. Stopping the Stream

-To stop the current radio stream, select the Stop button from the menu.
-This will stop any currently playing audio.

Managing Stations

Stations are managed through a notecard named "Station List" located in the object's inventory.

1. Accessing the Notecard

-Right-click the radio object and choose Edit.
-Go to the Content tab, and find the notecard named "Station List".
-Double-click the notecard to open it for editing.

2. Notecard Format

-Each station is defined on a separate line in the notecard.
-The format for each station should be:

<Station Name,URL>

-There should be no extra spaces before or after the station name or URL.

3. Adding a New Station

-Open the "Station List" notecard.
-Go to a new line and enter the station information in the format:

<Your Station Name,your-stream-url>

Example:

Jazz FM,http://streaming.jazzfm.com/jazz

4. Removing a Station

-Locate the line in the notecard for the station you want to remove.
-Delete the entire line that contains the station's name and URL.

5. Saving Changes

-After making any changes, save the notecard by clicking the Save button.
-To apply the changes, reset the radio script:
Right-click the object, go to Edit, and open the Content tab.
Right-click the radio script and choose Reset.
-The radio will read the updated station list from the notecard.

Troubleshooting
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No Audio Playing

Ensure that you have selected a valid station from the menu.
Check the URL in the notecard to ensure there are no extra spaces or typos.
Verify that your media settings in the Second Life viewer are configured to allow media playback.

Station Not Showing Up in Menu

Make sure the station is formatted correctly in the notecard (Station Name, URL).
Double-check for any extra spaces before or after the URL.
Reset the script to ensure it reloads the notecard.
