Description
HOOZ Group Changer is a smart, lightweight HUD that automatically switches your active group tag to match the land group of the parcel you enter, using the RLV capabilities of your viewer.
Perfect for creators, hosts, venue staff, DJs, managers, and anyone who moves between different parcels with different required groups.
Your tag updates instantly and automatically.
Once turned ON, the HUD detects the land group of the parcel you arrive on and applies it to your avatar through RLV.

*Important Second Life Limitations
Due to internal Second Life limitations, the viewer may occasionally fail to apply the group change, especially when:
- Teleporting very quickly between sims
- Crossing regions instantly (vehicles, flight, etc.)
Experiencing region lag or RLV delay
If this happens, simply click the HUD OFF then ON
This forces an immediate update and re-applies the correct group tag.
Requirements
For the HUD to work, the following conditions must be met:
- You must already be a member of the group to activate.
- The parcel must be set to that group (About Land → General → Group).
- RLV must be enabled in your viewer settings.
The HUD cannot activate a group you are not a member of, and it cannot override the wrong land group if the parcel is not set correctly.
Technical details
- Ultra-optimized: reads parcel info only when the parcel actually changes
- Automatically reacts to teleports, sim crossings, region start, and HUD attach
- Silent operation: no messages, except ON/OFF when you click
- Zero configuration required
- No performance impact on viewer or region
How to use
Wear the HUD.
Click once to turn it ON.
Move between parcels, your group tag updates automatically.
Click again to turn it OFF.
(Make sure RLV is enabled in your viewer: Preferences → RLV → “Enable RLV”)
