Placemats make for a more realistic and enjoyable dining experience in SL. Simply click the placemat to receive a menu with 39 different meal options divided into 7 categories.

Dessert
Choose a category, and then click on a meal to rez it right before your eyes. Change your mind? Simply click on the meal to clear the plate away, and then click the placemat again to receive the menu. By clicking the napkin next to the placemat you will receive a full set of silverware for all your dining needs. Find them in your objects folder and attach the appropriate utensil.....then all you have to do is enjoy your meal!
Additionally, the placemat has a drink rezzing coaster. Again, by clicking the coaster you will receive a menu with 4 categories. Choose a category, then a desired drink and watch it rez right there on the table. By clicking the glass you can receive a wearable version of the drink to hold in your hand. Also, clicking the rezzed glass will give you an option to clear away the drink and allow you to then make another choice via the menu. Drinks have custom animations, and include a category called "Shots", with many fun and funky shots to do with your friends. Some have a festive little poof when attached, flames, etc. All shots have a custom animation and will detach after they have been consumed. The other drinks will remain attached until you detach them.
*Note: You do need a small amount of prims to be available on your land to allow the meals to rez*

The perfect set
Yes this set cost some lindens and you can find dinner sets for 150 lindens and 500 for decent ones. But after you tried this one you'll end up wanting it and realizing you just wasted lindens on sets that dont even come close to this one! So do yourself a favour and get this and forget the rest! Apart from that the creator is really helpful making some adjustments on request. I can't remember the last time I rated something 5 stars but this is truely the ONLY set you want without having the feeling things could have been a little better :) .. And no I did not got a free set or money to write this positive review. I use lots of these set on the Lovers Delight island.
