2/5 Review
I like that there's textures so I can use it for some other body, but now the head's rigging is very.. interesting and a bit complex to work with (if you're someone that likes to personalize your avatars more instead of walk around as a clone of someone else, the rigging helps complete that but it also needs some work because it deforms in certain areas, it's a trial and error there) Another thing I dislike about this is the tail.. it looks extremely old ..same with the ears, it's like they were just recycled from an older avatar.. the idea is there, I will give it that. It could use some rework on the tail especially and the head's eye blink (The jaw is bento but the eye blink is frames?? It looks rather wonky when the eye blinks due to that and often disappears.) The hud is quite confusing at first but after sometime you'll get it.
I mostly bought it for the head, the extra skin textures and what not are nice to smack onto a different mesh body so that was cool! But now.. the ears, eye blink and tail.. not really bad but it just needs work. Same goes for the facial rigging. The tail and ears can be changed or switched out but for 1,000 Lindens it could generally use an update...
Re-review
Let me just say that i originally got the avatar for the head, I mean the body itself is usable but its barely fit-mesh and isn't exactly my shape of choice. The head is super cute and I even got a custom mod made with it, though even with the neck-less version of the head there's a bump at the end of it that makes it look like my avi has a deformed adams apple. The head fluff is removable which is really sweet! The HUD can be a little confusing at first but once you get used to it it's easy to navigate.
Eye's can't be retextured unless you re-color it with the HUD and only use the HUD options, you can't place new textures onto the eyes as it'll just replace it with it's original texture, hell you can't even manually tint it. Script/animation errors are very common and I always have to re-attatch my HUD to make animations work, though when the animations do work they look hella cute, I love the subtle tone of them though I did wish there were more, or an AO for it. The tail is alright imo, I like it's style though I feel like it doesn't fit the with avatars overall style as its mostly smooth. Hair barely fits n the head, unless its unrigged, has a cap or has bangs you're basically short haired/bald.
With all these cons i'd put it down to a 2 star which is rare for me to do, though I just love the look of the head way too much. It honestly beats any other canine head i've used and i've been using it since this avi first came out. I know this avatar will never get an update though I really wish it did with all it's flaws
Decent
I absolutely love the face and the animations, however, the cheek fluff ridge is actually PART OF THE FACE (which is a drawback of course) and the rigging is tough. As in, very few hair options AND the head doesn't fit on top of my neck... it floats above it and I have to use fluff to cover it. If it were slightly lower and didn't have the fluff ridge, I believe this head would be perfect!
Also, I know there is an unrigged version but you don't get the cute animations that way and the cheek bump is still there.
♥
very little hair is suitable for this head, but the animations are pretty cute!
Cute pup
It's a lot more like a fox than a husky, for sure, it's right in the weird anime 'canine' category. But it's certainly adorable, whatever it is! I had the husky v1 and although usually I'm not fond of having to rebuy for updates, this av is so blaringly different I wouldn't count it as a 'v2', so buying this av was entirely fresh.
The unrigged version has eyes linked to it and although it blinks, there's no mouth animations, so it's not a full head. Which is weird; there's teeth in the mouth, but the jaw is merged and not openable. Mostly confused why the teeth are still in there. Even a old flappy jaw would've been nice. But hey at least it blinks!
As for the main avatar, it's one of those things that is actually cuter than the preview.
The muzzle is small and long, and the preview images are both from about the same angle.
So for anyone questioning this av, here's a more side view; https://i.imgur.com/iv311HV.png
The skin textures included are a blessing, meaning this av even works on custom mesh bodies.
The unrigged head having limited features is a bit sad, and as another review says the rigged version's cheek fluff is a bit weird, but the av is still at least a solid 4.5. If you're on the fence, try it!
Its ok
I got it mainly for the head...I like curves so the body was of no use to me...even being fitted, the sliders made no difference. Now for the bento head, they should have been more clear...it's not a head you can shape to your liking...sliders do nothing and the ones that make a tiny change expose the teeth points from the bottom jaw skin...so yeah it's a bento head...but it's mainly for the animations....which are the best part of this avatar. I tried to find a demo...but couldn't so thought I'd take a chance. 1k is a bit much for the limited options this gives you (also I will not ever use the ears and or tail, they look old, but that's a personal taste). On top of that...the head has to stay at 96 to 100 or those fluffy parts don't look right (they already don't look right) I wish there was an option to just have the head and not those parts. Most hairs these days are fitted which makes fitting the hair impossible....so you'll spend a good couple of hours going through your own hair to see if something fits enough to not notice it doesn't fit at all. But I will say get short hair you can resize ...make sure it's poofy so you can hide those cheek fluffs. I'll give 3 stars only for the super cute animations..and eyes I forgot the eyes...they aren't too bad...also for all of you who wear it on a human body, there's a head in the miscellaneous folder you'll need to use and you'll need to get the omega neck fix....
