After the hardy crocus, the next color of the year, here in the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere in the world at this latitude, is represented by the hyacinth. Along with primroses and Lenten roses, these merry little blooms will announce to your visitors that "Spring is almost here"!
These were all photographed in my own garden in March '09. They are copy/mod, so dot these little one-prim beauties all around your garden as soon as the snow disappears and until around Easter time, when other blooms should replace them. Don't stretch them too big, as actual hyacinth are only up to 10 or so inches tall.
Happy gardening!
