Sailing this sailboat is as easy as 'walking' your avatar. The Captain is seated first, in the rear next to the tiller. Then one or two passengers may be seated.

This boat will sail on all SL water even on private lakes and streams. After rezzing, it automatically seeks the appropriate water sailing level. Just get in and go. Have fun. :)
