Vehicle Weighbridge by Infinity Freight

(Vehicles are not included!)

Rez the weighbridge on the ground at a location accessible to your vehicles.
By default, it is in a 'sleeping' mode to minimise lag when not being used.

Touch it, or drive a physical vehicle onto it, and it will wake up.
After a few moments, it will update the display with the 'weight' of any objects that are on it.

Touch the display to get an option to choose to weigh in KG or LB.
It will weigh any vehicles, objects (both physical or non-physical) and avatars.

The weighbridge makes a calculation based on the SL scripted mass value for the object, which is then modified to show a number that more reasonably represents the object on the weigh scale.
SL mass is largely driven by the combined size of the prims in the object and their density.

Note that some vehicle builders change the density of their vehicle, as a way to modify its handling. This can give some quite surprising 'weights' of some vehicles :-)
(the figures displayed are therefore for fun, and do not necessarily reflect the 'apparent' weight of an object).

You can weigh 6 objects at once if they are all bunched together on the weigh plate.
You can weigh about 20 objects at once if they are spread out over the whole plate.

When not used for 5 minutes, the weighbridge goes to sleep.
To wake it again, just drive on it or touch it.

If there is an unusual shape object near the weigh scale, it is possible that it could be detected and weighed because of its SL 'bounding box' overlapping the weigh scale sensor. If this happens and you get an object interfering, just copy/paste the name of the offending object into the notecard that is inside the scale, and that item will be ignored.

Note :
You can't just 'stretch' to re-size it, as the weigh sensor scripts would also need to be adjusted.
