Info Board (B) - 10x48 - 16 Prims (Land Impact) - Mesh

Shows your message, infos or announcement on a display.

What makes this board different from the others? First of all: the count of prims. With mesh items you can show 32 characters, that count only 1 prim for the land. At the moment (29th December 2012) this is the first board that can do this. Second: It's copy. You don't need to buy a new board for each of your clubs. Third: It's modify. You can change the board to the size you need and yes, this works with this mesh item.

+ Counts 16 prims only (land impact)
+ 10 lines with 48 characters = 480 characters
+ Text color changeable (lines and words)
+ Can give objects/landmarks/notecards
+ Easy configuration over the menu
+ No notecard configuration
+ Automatic word wrap
+ Access for owner only, group only or all
+ Copy/modify (Script no modify)

GREAT PRODUCT - KNOCKS SPOTS OFF SIMILAR ONES

I was hesitant to buy this board because of my experience with some others which proved too awkward to use or too limited and prim heavy but I ended up being most pleasantly satisfied. This board is a maximum of 16 prims LI and still offers 10 long lines of 48 clear characters, more than most I've seen at this price. I agree with Liana's review as to text input being real easy in Local Chat via copy/paste. You can play around with the text till you get it just how you want it.
The access is also easy to set. It tells you what access is set in the window. Just click the button till you see your desired access permission. In fact, the whole menu is very simple to use.
The colours are superb and the fonts are very bright and clear. This board can be set to size by stretching it as well without detriment to the lettering. Amazing.
I wanted a school daily schedule board and this is perfect. I keep a draft of the wording on a notecard and simply adjust it from week to week, copy and paste into local chat. Job's done.
There are so many beautiful colours to choose from and they can be applied in various ways.
I have not tried the inventory giver but I feel confident it will work just as well.
This info board is just what I wanted and at a good price. Thank you Bittersweet for an excellent product.

If you put any inventory in the board, it will be offered to you every time you attempt to call the menu. While you’re discarding the items, the menu gets minimized so you then have to expand that. If you’re working on the board a lot, going through this process over and over becomes a seriously major annoyance. If you don't use the inventory feature, then it's no problem.

If you want to set access, there is a button for Owner with an Access description saying Owner. Click on Owner and it changes to Group with an Access description of Group. Click again and the button changes to Public with Access as Public. So is access determined by the button you click or by what the description currently says??? Very confusing.

If you set text via chat, there is no provision to enter manual line breaks. And you can’t see more than a snippet of what you’ve typed so reviewing and editing is next to impossible. Entering text via the text box allows you to see and edit your text and you can enter line breaks but you are limited to around 300 characters

My suggestion: Set input to Chat and turn on Word Wrap. Then type your text on a notecard, copy it, and paste it into chat. This allows easy editing for a full 10 lines of text and any line breaks will also be copied.

Setting text color is fairly simple and intuitive. You’re limited to nine colors but that’s probably enough for most people. Coloring individual words is a bit tricky but that's a scripting limitation. Most boards don't even offer this option.

Summary: Most message boards that use chat to enter text proudly say, “No notecard!” but I find the notecard system to be mush easier. The big advantage with this board is low prim count. If you don’t change the text often and have limited prims, it’s a good board at a reasonable price.
