This is a notecard book packaged in a prim with the cover art for easy delivery. You will need to unpack this. Feel free to distribute this. Each author retains copyright over their own work. However this was compiled as an inter group library project.

What follows is the result of a joint project undertaken in Second Life. Some of the members of two Second Life libraries, the Astrid Sector Alpha / Project Catfort Library and the Trotsdale Public Library, met to undertake haiku writing workshops. Amehana Ishtari / Arashi (author Teresa Garcia) read selections from “Seeds from a Birch Tree: Writing Haiku and the Spiritual Journey” by former Zen monk and English teacher Clark Strand. The participants then discussed the readings and practiced writing haiku (and some near-haiku) together to create this booklet.
Some of the poems are more frivolous than others, a few have been removed from the main text. You won't find those removed ones in this. Sorry. THIS IS THE G RATED VERSION. If you find you've got the one with the supplemental then let me know so I can fix the listing.
Some of the more interesting text discussion is also provided at the end of each session chapter. Timestamps are left intact to record when a particular poem was put into local chat.
A thank you goes out to all of the participants and guests that were involved with the workshops and the production. Some of these participants have chosen to go by pen names instead of Second Life names. This is being provided freely as an example of what can be done when people work together, and as a library resource created by the members of the libraries. Perhaps similar projects can be undertaken again in the future.
Sincerely,
Amehana Arashi
Co-curator for Astrid Sector Alpha and Trotsdale libraries
