The InkWelle Easy-Walk Spiral Stairs are built with transparent cylinders on the inside and outside curves -- so it is very easy to walk up and down the stairs without falling off. These stairs were designed specifically so that even beginning avatars would be able to use them.
As any builder knows, if you enclose stairs in a cylindrical alcove, then when walking up or down spiral stairs, the changing of your camera angle can sometimes be a problem. A handy trick is to create a double wall. The wall closest to the stairs should have the EXTERIOR texture set to be transparent. Then enclose that wall with a second alcove and allow as much distance as possible between the two walls. See the images for a diagram.
