Sadly I just can't use it.

Unfortunately with the lack of a small, medium, and large animation option like in the bullet hose it just looks very bad when I try to use it in either "soldier" or "ganster" mode. (Sooo much body arm and hand clipping.) I keep my avatars reasonable and not too small or too big but it just looks awkward and there really should be male and female strap options for that matter. An option to disable the crouch on pressing C would be good too. The sound needs reworking, it doesn't really sound like a thompson at all. I hate to be so negative but after spending 1000L on it and being unable to use it that's pretty much my mood. The to try and leave on a positive the AO does properly override the upper body and not the legs to work with any AO you might be using and this was a 100% requirement for what I was trying to do.

Solid as a rock.

As with previous IS guns that I have bought and reviewed, I can't say much is wrong with the appearance of the gun. Solid textures and mesh makes this a looker from the outset.

Animations are basic, but at the same time they are made in such a way that there's not much interference if you happen to wear an unarmed AO.

Sounds are most definitely underwhelming, but something that can easily be updated so fingers crossed.

Scripting is straight to the point. There are very few bells or whistles, which is neither good or bad. For the price I was hoping for there to be a customising HUD or something similar to competing products. Inverse to this however is the easily accessible menu, which doesn't have any flair so is very 'to the point' which helps in standard operation.

All said and done, this is a definite "YES" for those people who want a nice gun for VICE or the new MCE. Standard LL damage fighters will like its basic nature too, which will definitely help get the job done.

Five (Allied) Stars. Kills krauts and everything else, except sims.

I have no problem admitting that I'm biased; The Thompson is a beautiful firearm, and I'm in absolute awe of the model of it that's been placed into Second Life. But we all know that models aren't everything, and the scripting, as usual, matches up to it. Sim's running well? When you pull the trigger, it goes bang. Sim lagging? Still goes bang. Doesn't have a massive bevy of features, but it doesn't need it - Just a few paint-schemes and three magazine options, and that's more than enough for me. Plus, it's got something unique among ISA weapons - An actual sling for the slung version. This means that the sling may take a little bit of adjusting, but once you've got it fit to your avatar, gal-darn does it look snazzy.
