JARs Head
Hey Club Owners, tired of using contest boards to drive people to your club or area? People complain that it’s a popularity contest rather than any contest at all. Not to mention the bots that come and vote then leave. Well JARs Head is the answer. Its completely random and anti-bot.
It’s a game where the owner selects a start time and an end time. During that time, I random search is made (you select the distance, default is 96 meters but I suggest 20m) around the prim for avatars. If it selects YOU, I will ask you a simple math question. Don't be alarmed, its like "what is 2 + 2 = ?" and you type your answer in open chat (BTW, you can add your own math questions if you like it difficult). No one can see the question except you anyway and the script gives you 30 seconds to answer it. Get it right and you a point, get it wrong and better luck on the next question. If you don't respond in 30 seconds the script will find another random person and ask them a question. If you do respond with either a right or wrong answer, the script will immediately find another avatar to ask a question rather than wait the 30 seconds. This way it keeps the game moving at a fast pace. At the end of the time, the script will do a 10 second count down for drama and then announces the winner and award that person, with the most points, the prize money that the owner has selected. If there is a tie, I will split the money.
So you see, it’s important to be here from the beginning to the end of the contest so that you can get the most points possible. Friends or bots can't help you with this one (big smile).
Commands are
/99 money
/99 time
/99 start
/99 range
/99 reset
Since your contestants have to respond in open chat I suggest you set the range to 20 meters. The Prim will also display a picture of the choosen person so make the Prim central, usually over the dance floor. That way you cover about 40m in diameter of the club in include as many people as possible.
The scripts inside the prim are nocopy/nomod/notransfer but the prim its self is modifiable if you want something other than a square.
This is really a game of luck and a tiny bit of skill.
