The JE Visitor can be modified to any shape or texture you want. The Visitor object is phantom, so it can be used to fill a doorway, a rug at the landing point or doorway. You can modify the textures for the visitor to anything you want, including transparent.

Set the options for the JE Visitor object through the settings notecard. You have the following options:

Set what items are given to a new visitor through the following options. If they are not set, the default will be to give the visitor the first landmark found in the object's inventory and the first notecard.

item=
Use this to specify the items in the object inventory to the visitor. This can be repeated for each item to be handed out. Make sure that all of these items are copiable.

folder=
Setting this will create a folder to put all of the items into. This will prevent the items from be spread across the Objects, Notecard, and Landmark folders.

greeting=
This message will be sent to the visitor as an instant message.

notify=none
No notifications will be sent when a new visitor arrives.

notify=im
An instant message will be sent to the owner of the JE Visitor object when a new visitor is detected. The message that will be sent is determined by the notifymsg option.

notify=
A message will sent to any Visitor Beeper objects in the region over the channel specified. It is recommended to use a high negative number like -23423. Using the beeper objects allows the notifications to be sent to the owner and any staff that are on location. Do not use 0.

notifymsg=
This message will be sent to any beeper objects in the parcel if the notify option is set to a channel. There are special codes that can be put into the message to allow various information to be included. These are:

\n Break the message into multiple lines
\\ Include the back slash character
\s Include the SLurl for the location of the visitor pad. When displayed in the chat window, this can be used to teleport to the location of the visitor object.
\a The name of the visitor's avatar that was detected
\o The name of the JE Visitor object sending this message.

When notification uses the beeper objects, the owners of the beepers have the option of placing them on the ground in the parcel, in which case the notification message will be forwarded to the owner anywhere in SL, but only if the owner is online.

The JE Visitor does not use a scanner because those add too much lag. Like all Jedi Engineering objects, the JE Visitor is designed to have a minimal impact on the performance of the sim in which they are used.

The owner has the option of clicking on the JE Visitor object to get a menu giving them the ability to send a JE Visitor Beeper to someone, view the list of visitors detected, and clear the list. Also, any change to the inventory of the Visitor, like changing a notecard or adding one, will result in the list of visitors being reset as well.
