<JJW+SSC> 51 prim Ice skate area {boxed} Version 1
Hello, and thank you for looking into this natural snowy scene with included snowmaker.
Permissions are mod/ copy although scripts are no mod. The build was made by Jisper Darkfold and is being listed here with permission.
The build is 64 by 64 meters and takes up 51 prims (although if you don't need the base you can remove it and save a prim).
It uses "Physics" scripting on the skates - which can be found on MP, although I am including a giver from the maker of the script in the box and fancier skates will be coming eventually (some 50's style saddle shoe skates have already been made).
I left the permissions on the move physics remote giver the same as the original (https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Move-Physics-Remote-Giver/4109141).
Please feel free to hand it out to your guests so that they may also enjoy your new ice skate area.
"Second Life does not have any avatar physics when it comes to different kinds of surfaces. This attachment, however, says otherwise. Simply Add the MovePhysicsH attachment on your Avatar on any slot, and it does the rest.
Instead of boring poseballs, or animation overrides that simply change walking animation to a skating one, this attachment provides movement physics on several kinds of surfaces.
With ice skates properly equipped, you can skate on ice, with movement physics, such as gliding and the like.
Stepping on ice without the skates, or on slippery surfaces cause your avatar to behave appropriately.
If you find a strange substance sometimes called "acceleration gel", you will find that your running speed is now 5 times faster!
This remote giver is free to use and place anywhere you want. It gives the aforementioned Move Physics attachment and associated items with a menu by clicking on it."
please note: these skates only work on surfaces named 'Ice'
To make the skates work wear all the pieces you are given including shoe base, alpha layer, and skates.
If you step onto the ice and nothing happens - sit down and stand back up - then try walking out onto the ice, that usually corrects the script. (you may want to have a bench nearby for this purpose)
Normal walk and run controls the script, including double clicking for "run". Use arrow down to stop.
Thank you for reading,
Eldric.
