The jockstrap (also known as a jock, jock strap, strap, supporter, athletic supporter or posing pouch) was invented in 1874 by C. F. Bennett of a Chicago sporting goods company, Sharp & Smith, to provide comfort and support for bicycle jockeys working the cobblestone streets of Boston. In 1897 Bennett's newly formed Bike Web Company patented and began mass-producing the Bike Jockey Strap. The word "Jockey" meaning 'rider', primarily a race horse rider, has been in use since 1670. Jockey is the diminutive form of the Scots nickname Jock (for John). The more recent American slang term 'jock', meaning an athlete, is traced to 1959 and is itself derived from 'jockstrap'.
Made from 60% Polyester, 30% Rubber, 5% Nylon, and 5% Cotton. Machine wash "warm", tumble dry "low", do not bleach, dot not dry clean, do not iron.
HOW TO RESIZE
The box includes 5 versions of the jockstrap labeled XS-S-M-L-XL. Each of these is a unique and different mesh. Please note that the sizes are indications only. It may very well be that a bigger or smaller size is a better fit for your particular body, after resizing. So, select the jockstrap that most closely matches the contours of your body, not so much the size of your body.
- Make a copy of the jockstrap, just in case.
- Wear the jockstrap and the resize HUD.
- You will automatically go into a pose stand. Click the "Pose" button to toggle posing on/off.
- Click in the HUD on the plus- and minus-buttons to change the parameter.
Note: The jockstrap will "jump" on every click. This is by design to get around a Second Life quirk.
- If you make a mistake then click the "Restore" button to go back to factory settings.
