Aloha!
This a statue of Joseph Kekuku, the inventor of the steel guitar. The statue is placed at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, Hawaii. And there, many people sit on the bench with Joseph and take photos with him.
This statue is copy and modify, so if you want to resize it, you can go into EDIT and stretch it to be larger or smaller. (Please be aware that the LI count may go up.) The statue, bench and plaque are all one piece and cannot be detached from each other. All 3 pieces together are only 1 LI.
Enjoy!

The plaque on the base of the statue reads:
Joseph Kekuku
Joseph Kekuku, who went by a shortened form of his very long Hawaiian middle name, was born right here is Laie in 1874 and invented the Hawaiian steel guitar. In the ensuing years he helped popularize Hawaiian music around the world. In the early 1930's, electrification made the distinctive gliding sounds of his Hawaiian steel guitar even more popular.
Kekuku eventually moved to New Jersey, where he passed away in 1932. In 1993 he was inducted in the the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame.
