-Jane&Finch- Gloom Entryway Candlesticks

Down the deary rainwashed cobblestone of Faux Street, we peeked into one of the many clustered buildings and into the entry hall. Nobody was there, but the candles on the console were lit and seemed to dance with the only life we can find at this place.

Solidly built but tarnished brass with fresh candles set on top, they sat on a worn looking console with fine floral carvings. The wood seemed ancient and chipped around the edges, and the books on top were no better for wear. We couldn't even figure out the strange symbols on the covers, though we felt like even if we could, there would be little rhyme or reason to it.

Tucked into the frame of the mirror was a worn and faded envelope; who keeps such a tarnished thing around? There was no life in here, not even that which could be reflected.
