Origionaly brought from China and Korea, the Japanese stone lamp or Tourou has been used in Japan since the 6th century. This particular tourou is a stone lamp (or Ishidoro) that was designed with a wide top that shelters the lamp very well in the snow. Yukimi means "Snow viewing" and looks wonderful in the winter snow.

Very nice stone lamp.
You have saved me some trouble in building a center piece for my husband's gazebo. Was creating furniture for his build and just couldnt figure out what i was wanting as decor until this lamp came to view. Quality made and only 1 land impact, mesh too, so it was perfect in every way for what i was needing. Thank you.
