ABOUT OUR JUKEBOX RADIO:

Thank you for your interest in our new Jukebox Radio! It is packed full of features to make your music listening experience simple and pleasurable. From the menu you can select a radio station to listen to, change who has access to your Jukebox, set the hovertext display, check for station updates (these are automatic by default but can be changed to manual) or change the Jukebox colour scheme (with 11 exciting themes to choose from!).

A feature of the Jukebox Radio is that it will attempt to adjust it's hovertext display to match the parcel radio stream even if the parcel music stream is changed manually or by another 'radio'.

Your Jukebox downloads it's stations list from our central webserver, so it's fast and efficient. If you have a favourite station that isn't on our preset list you can add it, or as many as you like, to the "MyStations" notecard in the contents of your Jukebox (detailed in the User Manual). If you are not comfortable with editing notecards simply drop us a line with category, station name and station url and we'll add it to our preset webserver list.

Since radio streams are constantly changing their URL, or closing down completely, we update our webserver stations list every few weeks to keep it up-to-date (with well over 100 preset streams and new ones being added all the time, including special seasonal categories like Christmas and Halloween). By default your Jukebox will check regularly with our webserver for the latest stations list, but you can turn this feature off or force a manual check via the Jukebox menu. If a newer version of the stations list is available it will be downloaded and installed automatically - simple and painless!

When you first rez your Jukebox it will detect whether a deeded 'land relay' is required. This will only be if the parcel is group-owned. If one is required a land relay will rez slightly above the Jukebox and will look like a stack of records (we thought that would be appropriate!). Follow the simple hovertext instructions above the land relay to deed it. The deeded land relay (stack of records!) will then hide itself inside the Jukebox. Do not delete the land relay or you will not be able to change stations.

*NB: You MUST have the appropriate land parcel permissions to be able to change parcel music streams in Second Life. If you own the land you will already have it - if you rent you may need to ask the Landlord to set you up with the appropriate level of land parcel permissions (fully detailed in the included User Manual).

QUICK START:

1/ Drag your Jukebox Radio from inventory and drop it where you want it to live;
2/ If Deeding is required your Jukebox will rez a 'land relay' - if so follow the simple hovertext instructions;
(this only needs to be done once, and only if the land is group-owned)
3/ Your Jukebox will now load the latest stations list from our server and then....
4/ You're ready to rock 'n roll!
