Julie is one of the more advanced bartenders. She does not simply offer up drinks straight to your av, she dispenses them to the bar - just like real life.
Your av then touches the drink to receive them to the inventory. The drink then vanishes - as if taken.
Land owners don't worry about lots of unwanted drinks piling up and taking valuable prims - the drinks on the bar are temp. The actual drinks taken are not.
She also chats via local chat and sometimes uses audio as well.

USE
Rezz both Julie and the bar and place where desired - then UNLINK
You may use you own bar if you wish. This one gives you an idea of where drinks will be rezzed.
If the drinks do not rezz at the correct height - move Julie to suit. (Bartenders often have a raised floor).
Touch Julie for a menu of drinks. She will immediately speak (the audio may be delayed a few seconds while SL delivers it. This will be ok once the file is in the cache).
Make your choice of drinks.
Julie will dispense it to the bar you will then have a minute or so to take it (left click). Then it will vanish. Don't want stale drinks littering up the place !
The drink will now be in your invent. Check recent items - then wear it. Some of the drinks have animations - you will need to give permission for these to activate.
IF SL is laggy you may need to select your choices from the menu a second time.
