[K-S] & <A-T> FL282

It flies fine! This is a very very rare WW2 helicopter, one of the first of its kind too. My only complaints are about the simple flight mode, it turns very quickly, 50% collective doesn't seem to keep it level and it doesn't seem to have any parking brakes when it lands so be careful!

Fantastic, obscure piece of history otherwise!

Too bad I couldn't try a demo, but I spotted one, loved how it looks, so I decided to take my chances. This is a rare helicopter: only three Flettner 282 Kolibri helicopters survived WWII.
It doesn't fly all that great (see other reviews: wonky indeed), isn't the best sim-crosser, steering/banking doesn't look or feel very realistic (steers abruptly, banks too late) and the camera view point is set quite far. Shift-arrow moves the rudder, but doesn't do anything. And little details, like turning wheels, are overlooked. Although I'm not that tall, I barely fit in (probably realistic though *smiles*)....but...you can remove the front cover, so without that, everyone fits in it. So for flight-performance / scripting / features, I would rate it just one star.
But....at the same time it's a high quality mesh helicopter with great realistic textures. The texture pack that comes with it is very easy to work with for anyone with some photoshop-skills. So: five stars for appearance....a great job by Paulo Gibbs.
Having said that, this is not a helicopter that just looks nice but gives you a headache flying it, because naturally a Flettner 282 does have a high fun-factor! All in all, I definitely expected more for L$ 1,800, so I'm afraid I cannot say this product is value for money....three stars are about right, I think.

My original view summarised this helicopter as being rather boring.

With the 1.3 scripts, this is no longer the case. The flight scripts have been vastly improved and are actually rather unique in their mannerisms. All in all, it's now worth the asking price. A beautiful mesh model and some fun scripting that no longer holds your hand through everything

Ok, took a bit of a chance and grabbed this, and very happy I did.
I feel it should be pointed out the gauges work for those of us who fly first person.
not a big fan of the cam, but many ways around that and I fly first person so dos'nt really effect me.
flight script is nice, stable, flies a lil wonky as you'd expect a wonky helicopter like this to fly.

loving it, will definitely fly this a lot
