If you want the ears and tail to link the texture you need link each ear or tail to the root prim but link the tail or ear first tot he prim of the original tail root prim from the twi original tail or ear from the newest version of tail ear and hud that has bom. Then after you do that go into the menu and chose bom under texture then go to the folder ware you have a textur to aply then a texture applyer and it should then allow you to now control them by the bom applyer quite the mess to figure out.
