The dasher has nice sound effects and comes with a customization HUD to choose between 6 speeds and tint it any color you want. It doesn't require rez rights and works in most 'no-script' zones.
It also works in mouselook and you can actually warp in any direction you aim but unfortunately it doesn't look very good while on air. This gadget uses an animation to send the avatar's body below ground level to make it "disappear". This way if you are not on ground level you and others will be able to see your avatar's body floating a couple of meters below and coming back up after the poofer effects ends.
I wouldn't drop a star for that alone since it's a very common thing for dashing gadgets to use this animation solution and it works flawlessly while on ground level but I've noticed that everytime you logoff or dettach Demon Poofer it deactivates itself. So you need to reattach the customization HUD all over again and choose a speed to get it back on. This is not very handy if you switch outfits, logoff or if you just need to quickly attach it for a combat situation. Maybe a simple update could solve this?
Aside from that I really recommend it for roleplay purposes or for anyone wanting to look cool or get some extra mobility while exploring around. It can also be useful if you want to go through walls.
