Kitten Sisters' Particle Wizard HUD is designed for both beginners and experts to quickly build particle systems, by using its smart features:

- A responsive HUD which immediately updates the emitter with your changes. No more tweaking scripts, compiling, and waiting for the particle system to update...
- Emitter capable of running 4 particle systems at the same time! Stack multiple particle systems to achieve more details and more variety!
- HUD preview of particle angles and the particle's appearance, so no more guessing sizes, colours and glow!
- An easy-to-use colour palette, with custom RGB input. Common colours are a couple of clicks away!
- A library of useful textures, and the ability to add your own favourites. No more searching your inventory and copying UUID keys!
- A library of preset effects, allowing you to load up 16 examples to quickly build from.
- The ability to print your particle systems, to copy and paste into any script.
- The ability to pass data from the emitter back to the HUD, allowing you to store your own effects in your emitters for future use and re-use!

BASIC HOW TO USE:

- Wear (or rez) the Particle HUD,
- Rez (or wear) the Particle Emitter,
- You can now click through the HUD to build your particle system, which should be immediately shown by the emitter!

We suggest you start by clicking "Load Preset" from the HUD, and loading in an example to build from, or exploring the demos to see what sorts of things you can build.

The "Help" button can be toggled. When active, clicking any part of the HUD will not change the values, but will instead give you information about that feature.

HOW TO SAVE EFFECTS:

After making an effect with the HUD and Emitter, simply take the Emitter back into your inventory. You can load the effect back into the HUD at a later date by rezzing this Emitter, clicking it and selecting "Data to HUD" from the menu. This will send data back to the HUD.

WHAT IS THE EMITTER NUMBER? / HOW CAN I HAVE MORE THAN ONE PARTICLE SYSTEM?

The "Emitter" number, at the top of the HUD, shows which of the 4 particle systems you are currently editing.

A prim/object in SL can only have one particle system active at any one time. The Particle Emitter is made of 4 prims, meaning that up to 4 particle systems can be shown at once. By changing the "Emitter" number in the HUD, you can change which prim in the Emitter you are changing.

A single particle system can only build a fairly basic effect, but by laying 2+ particle systems, you can add more detail and variety into a system, which vastly improves how it looks and acts. For example: fire + smoke + embers!

SETTINGS:

Clicking the cog icon in the HUD will bring up a simple settings menu:
- Dot / Comma: this changes the symbol used by the HUD to display the decimal place, between a dot and a comma.
- About: shows the HUD version number

EMITTER OPTIONS:

By clicking an active Emitter, you will see a menu with the following options:

- Data to HUD: This will send the particle data from the Emitter back to the HUD. Use this to load a particle system from an Emitter. We suggest you "take" Emitters to save them into your inventory, which can then be rezzed again, and loaded to the HUD.
- Sleep: This will stop the emitter listening to the HUD, in case you wish to freeze the Emitter's effect and not have it update with the HUD.
- Print FXs: This will print the current particle system to your chat window. This will be a private message so no other people will see your particle system. You can copy and paste this into a script to copy the effect.
- Prim visibility: This will toggle the visibility of the prim. Useful to hide the prim should you be making a small particle effect.

While sleeping, an Emitter will be woken up when clicked, and will again listen to the HUD.

If another Emitter is rezzed, the first Emitter will sleep and the newly rezzed Emitter will start to listen to the HUD. Only one Emitter will listen to the HUD at any one time, to prevent you accidentally updating other Emitters, and allowing you to work on multiple effects separately.
