Perfect for setting up an affilaite system or to manage multiple retail locations. No more running around doing updates or sending out revisions to your affilates.
Here is how it works:
- The items to be sold are kept in your in-world wharehouse server along with a texture for each one that will be displayed on the vendors.
- Optionally, an information notecard for each item can be kept in the server too.
- You create as many copies of the 1 prim Vendor as you want. All copies will display and sell all items contained in the wharehouse.
- Need to make a change?
Update an item's texture in the wharehouse, within 3 hours ALL of your vendors will be displaying the new version !
Replace the item itself in the wharehouse. It will immedaitely become the version that is delivered when customers make a purchase from any vendor !
Replace an information notecard in the wharehouse. It will immediately become the version that is delivered when customers requests one from any vendor !
Additional Information:
- You get one wharehouse server. It can be located in any sim and will provided service to all if it's vendors anywhere in Second Life
- If the sim containing the wharehouse is down while someone tries to make a purchase:
The vendor will refund the customer's money since a delivery cannot be made.
The vendor will notify its owner via IM so later contact can be made if desired.
The vendor will display a "This vendor is temporarily unavailable" texture and will check every five minutes to see if the wharehouse is back on-line.
As soon as the wharehouse is back on line the normal displays start back up automatically.
- Split payments. Each copy of the vendor can have a different payment split between you (the Wharehouse Owner) and the avatar to whom you give or sell the vendor.
