What a fun little ship! Plus.....BALLISTAS!
So I was sitting around thinking to myself that I wanted to get a new small fighting ship because....well who doesn't think that from time to time??! I own some very nice little SPD compatible gun boats but THIS little boat has.......oooOOOOOOoooooo..... BALLISTAS!!!
If that isn't different I dunno what is.
Nice build with great textures. You can tell the creator worked hard to make something you will enjoy owning. It behaves under sail as it should which means I end up as a lawn ornament at somebody's cottage along the Blake Sea from time to time but that's my fault not the ship's. (There was something in my eye, the glare blinded me, I swerved to avoid a Mer crossing the road...honest!)
While yelling "EAT SHARP POINTY STICKS YA SCURVY WATER RAT!!!" may not sound all that scary, when backed up with some hard hitting spear chucking ballistas it will strike terror, or at least moderate alarm into the hearts of those who dare oppose me for dominance of the seas.
The ballistas are aimable and can be operated solo or with the help of a crew member who understands the fine points of giant shish kebab skewer launchers. The provided HUDs are simple to use but remember to put them on after you board. That ensures that all the bits and bobs are introduced politely and will work hard to ensure your success in battle.
I can see some surprised ship captains wondering what that strange "THHHHWACK!!!!" sound is as my ballistas release whispering fondue fork death at their water line. By the time they figure out that I am actually serious I expect to have inflicted several serious leaks and scratched up their paint in a major way before I scamper away in my speedy vessel to plan my next ambush. Yarrrrrrr!
As an aside the creator is absolutely great to deal with. Helpful and eager to see you happy with your purchase so top marks with sprinkles on top for that.
