Just what i needed! OK so there may have been an oversight on Leo's part, that these are not full perm. But credit to the guy, when i contacted him, I was sent the full perm item. So before you go hating perhaps use a little initiative and contact Leo. Give the guy a break, we are all human and as such we make mistakes.

I didn't expect much because they were a dollar, but they would be a full five stars if the maps that come with this set were usable. They are no copy no mod, which essentially means they are worthless. You can use as many of the prefabs as you want, but you cannot create a sculpt with you listed as creator from the maps; therefore if you are using these in a creation they must not be the root prim, because you will not be listed as the creator. Since I don't like to bother with identifying roots when I'm building this wasn't as convenient as I had hoped, but it works. It would be a truly fine product if they were just up front about the perms, but for the price, you can't beat it.

The best part about them is that if you stitch them Cylinder, map them default, use 2 horiz repeats per face to .5 vert repeats per face with a pattern rotation of 90*, and you set bumpiness to crustytile, gravel or woodgrain, you can get these to hold a fairly decent wood texture. They don't distort at a distance either, and they don't look patchy if you put a shine to them.

Again, this would be a full five stars if the perms were right on the maps. They may not be as spectacular as some staffs out there, but if you're using them to create your own staff, they're a great base. You can do a lot with them.
