Vladislav or Vladislaus (Latinized form) is a considered to be a very old given name of Slavic origin. It's meaning is someone who commands glory. Vlad is a root of command, and slav is a root of glory. It is common in the Slavic countries such as Russia and Ukraine. The diminutive can be shortened to Vlad or Vova.
Vladislav's features are ones that are prominent in the depths of Siberia. Vlad comes from a small town and has never left his small village. Vlad works hard, and is almost always out in the elements of snow. Due to the climate of his region, he almost never sees warm sunlight, therefore his skin is a light porcelain. Vlad has slightly softer and rounder features than his brother Stanislav. What many call attention to are his almond shaped eyes that are almost cat like. Vlad finds himself to be more humble, and will attract attention to those who are more inclined to a quiet and reserved man. He is definitely classically handsome, but in a noble way.
